At MgLIFE, we know what it’s like, personally, to suffer from ongoing health issues. We know what it’s like to search and search for a product that can help. It was our own journey to health that inspired us to create this product and this business.
Tamira’s journey
I had a number of health issues. I was struggling with intolerances to certain foods and deficient in so many vitamins and minerals, including magnesium. I complained to a family friend that I’d love to cut down on some of the tablets I had to take. She suggested instead of the magnesium capsule, I try a magnesium oil which can be applied to the skin and is much more readily absorbed if you have digestive issues.
That was the turning point
It seems obvious now but we realised it’s not just what you put in your body, it’s what you put onto it as well. In the years since, we’ve made huge changes in all areas of our life, in our pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. Getting rid of chemicals from our home, changing to natural products and, of course, clean eating.
Paul’s story
I’ve always suffered from an over-active mind and when it came to bedtime, I just couldn’t switch off. Even if I could fall asleep, I’d wake up many times during the night. I tried lots of natural remedies that didn’t work, then an auntie of mine who used magnesium cream for sleeping suggested I try it. It worked! Not only did I relax and fall asleep easily but I stayed asleep.
The inspiration to start the business
Because we’d both had success with magnesium products, we were inspired. We tried all different ones, with varying results and eventually got to know so much through our research, we thought we could go one better. We wanted to create the very best product we could — a magnesium oil that was pure, organic, felt great, was easy to use and offered good value for money. And was made in Australia.
It took us 3 years of experimenting but in 2016 we were very proud to launch MgLIFE Organic Magnesium Oil. It’s been really well received.
